Arts On Fire
Our Purpose
We aim to provide a high-level experience in the arts for all ages. Our wide range of classes provide entertainment, friendship, skill-development and portfolio-building.
a space to explore
Imagination

Sheri Prescott coached Ajax High’s Improv Club and directed school productions for decades and saw how the arts changed the lives of her students. In 2018, she rented the facilities at Ajax High School in order to bring improv, visual arts and musical theatre to South Ajax on Saturdays. The classes filled up and families loved the opportunities!
When covid closed the schools, Sheri knew that youth and teens would need improv and art classes more than ever. She rented a small commercial space in South Ajax and this 860 sq foot studio thrived under quarantine measures. Boosted by Durham families requests for more art classes, Sheri searched for a bigger space. With the help of friends and family, they renovated over Christmas and opened 250 Bayly St. West‘s studio on February 1st, 2022.
This new space is wheelchair accessible and offers easy “curbside pickup” for families. We love our new plaza location and hope families enjoy Dairy Queen as much as we do!
